Social Issue Awareness Day
On May 4th, 2024, the University of Lahore held an impressive project display by Miss Kinza Arshad, providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity. The event, which ran in two sessions—sections F & H from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, and sections I, J, & G from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM—aimed to enhance the presentation and conversational skills of the participants. The students worked in teams to create projects with visual aids, confidently explaining and answering questions about their work. Covering a wide range of social issues prevalent in Pakistan, such as dowry, education, drug addiction, and technology, the students produced stunning visual presentations that captured the attention of their peers.
The target audience included students from various majors and semesters at UOL, who engaged actively by asking questions and showing interest in the projects. The panel of judges, led by course mentor Kinza Arshad and esteemed faculty member Miss Humaira from the English Department, visited the stalls, posing insightful questions and providing valuable feedback. This event served as a significant opportunity for students to refine their presentation skills, work collaboratively, and engage in meaningful discussions on important societal issues. The project display not only demonstrated the students' hard work and ingenuity but also fostered a spirit of intellectual curiosity and professional growth within the university community.
