Cultural Awareness Week
The Centre of Skill Development and Leadership (CSDL) recently held an impressive project display aimed at enhancing student skills, particularly in effective communication. Under the guidance of their teacher, Jawad Ahmad Zafar, students from the Department of Software Engineering (SE) demonstrated outstanding efforts by using props and models to showcase their communication prowess. The exhibit focused on cultural diversity around the globe, featuring intricately crafted models such as the Pyramids of Egypt, Al-Aqsa from Palestine in support of Gaza, and Turkish Mosques. This event provided a unique opportunity for students to explore and present various cultural landmarks, blending educational enrichment with the development of their speaking skills.
The judging panel, including Competency development Coach, Dr. Hina Jaffery and faculty members Ms. Ra’ana Zanjaani and Ms. Hamna Naveed, joined Jawad Ahmad Zafar in evaluating the students' presentations. The panel engaged in lively question-and-answer sessions, offering students both praise and constructive feedback. These interactions were designed to not only assess the students' knowledge and presentation skills but also to foster their ability to communicate effectively in public settings. The success of this exhibit highlights the importance of practical, hands-on experiences in enhancing communication skills, a critical component for future professional success. The event underscored CSDL's commitment to equipping students with the competencies needed to excel in their academic and professional journeys.
