Awareness Projects on Health Hazards
At the project display of CSDL courses, students under the guidance of Miss Ammara Afzal presented their work on various health hazards. The displays aimed to raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating habits, the dangers of binge eating, and the misuse or abuse of drugs. The students thoroughly examined peer influences on drug addiction among young adults and discussed the role of media in contributing to the negative consequences of cultural transmission. Additionally, the project covered a wide range of other topics, such as mitigating the effects of overpopulation in Pakistan, the science behind the Law of Attraction, and public awareness about ADHD.
The panel of judges from the Department of English Language and Literature included Miss Fatima Toor, Miss Huma Ahmad, Miss Hira Sajjad, and Miss Ammara. They appreciated the students' hard work, conducted a Q&A session to promote public awareness, and provided constructive feedback. The primary aim of this project display was to enhance English language proficiency and public speaking skills among students. Beyond language proficiency, the display also significantly helped in refining the students' interpersonal and intrapersonal communication.
